5 Reasons the CASE CX135E is a Game Changer for Demolition

Deconstructing Lyon in France with the Case CX135E XRD, a new 13.8 tonne compact extra reach demolition machine from its Special Applications Division.

Featuring a four-cylinder Yanmar engine delivering up to 53.7kW (73hp), the machine has a reach of 13m and is capable of operating with a demolition crusher of up to 600kg or a sorting grab of up to 200 litres.

  For its first public outing, French contractor S.J.T.P have used the machine to demolish and recycle materials from a house in the centre of Lyon, where Peter Haddock was joined by product specialist Alain De Nanteuil. 

Compact design  

Alain: “This location is perfect to show off the machines and key features like our custom-designed undercarriage, as the team has been able to go from transporting at 2.32m to operating at 2.92m.

And once extended, the machine is actually wider than longer.” 

Operator Support Features “To support operators, we have added fully ergonomic joysticks with controls both under your thumb and forefinger, and the cab can be tilted by 30 degrees from the joystick.

“Our next generation touchscreen interface also allows up to nine attachments to be programmed into the machine.

 Added Safety and Visibility “We have a full ROPS and FOPS safety system to protect the operator with extra guards on the boom and dipper, and inside the cab, we have a 10-inch display which gets feeds from two cameras, one on the boom and one on the dipper.”
