Peter Haddock talks to Nick O'Donnell, Assistant Director of Traffic and Engineering for the Borough of Wandsworth and Richmond Council in London. He explains how his team is using the Safety Shield 'ECO Census' integrated pollution monitoring and camera system (featured in this video) to deliver real-time insights into road usage around the borough.

This information is being used to both reduce pollution, improve road layouts and protect pedestrians, cyclists and road users. By positioning the Safety Shield devices in key places, the team is changing the way in which the infrastructure is managed, whilst understanding the impact of repair, maintenance and improvement work.
