Champion Groundworks invest a 3D machine control from Leica Geosystems

Fred Champion Groundworks has invested in a 3D connected worksite solution for the future, with plant and surveying equipment from Leica Geosystems and dealer One Point Survey Equipment This is a great story of how the business has moved forward with a vision for its future and the benefit of both customers and the environment.

In this video, Peter Haddock interviews Lee Knowles of One Point Survey Equipment onsite at a major project to build 'Sherford Village' a brand new town in Devon, near Plymouth. 

Thanks to a major investment in surveying equipment and 3D machine control, this site will be the first of its type and scale in the UK to adopt a 'Connected Worksite' approach. Peter also catches up with experienced operator Mark on his CASE Construction Equipment CX250D excavator, who has used the technology to build an impressive pond. Caterpillar D6T dozer operator, Fred also talks about learning how to use the technology and his worries about how easy it would be.
