Develon wows at Plantworx with new machines and a dig arena

Peter Haddock walked around the award winning stand with Develon Europe product expert Beka Nemstsveridz as he introduced some of the new machines making their debut at the show.

Talking about some of the features of the new DX63-7 compact six tonne excavator, Beka said: "We have added a new cab to this model, and it comes with a 44.3 KW Stage V engine.

"Even though it is a compact radius machine, all key components can be accessed simply from the rear and side panels, making maintenance simple.

"With this model, we have also designed the undercarriage to accept steel shoes or rubber tracks without changing components."

Moving onto the new  14.6 tonne DX140 LC excavator, Beka pointed out the new design that has reduced the machine's overall height by 30cm. This makes visibility better for the operator whilst still giving access to all components at the ground level.

Beka also revealed hidden behind the machine's side panel, new access and egress steps with accompanying handles that make it really easy to access the top of the machine, as Peter demonstrates in this video.

The machine comes with a new touchscreen display for accessing controls and viewing feeds from the camera array mounted on the rear and sides of the machine. The model also boasts an air suspension seat that comes with a cooling option and better visibility for the operator.

Another first at the show was the DX100W 10 tonne compact wheeled excavator with four wheel and crab mode steering as standard. This was joined by the new telescopic DL80 TL compact wheel loader, designed to operate with a range of attachments and has a 4.3 metre lifting height.

If you missed the team at Plantworx, don't worry; they will also be at INTERMAT Paris next year, where they are set to showcase more machines.
