Digital solutions set to support 45m Perkins engines

Looking after 4.5m Perkins Engines used in over 5000 different applications is getting a big digital telemetry driven boost.

Peter Haddock caught up with Aftermarket & Lifecycle expert Matthew Burton at its recent press conference to learn more about looking after engines worldwide.

Matthew: "From the very start of designing an engine, we are looking at the whole end to end lifecycle and how to protect the components that make an engine run as efficiently as possible.

"This included filters and even oils, as some of our engines are operating at very high and low temperatures -40 degrees in some cases.

"And in April 2024, we will bring out the latest engine monitoring solutions, driven by advanced telemetry, which will pick up data from our numerous engine sensors.

"This data and the clever software we have developed will play an important role in maintaining high levels of uptime.

"In-turn, we will be able to support our OEM customers and their end users as key performance information will be able to be monitored by our specialist team and our global distributor network.

"And by matching this data with the right genuine parts, like filters that protect key components, we will be able to help equipment owners powered by Perkins to get the most out of every drop of fuel and of course, every kW of power.”
