Dynapac showcases Seismic smart compaction roller onsite

The Dynapac Seismic roller is a brand new product that comes with 'Smart Compaction' built into its operation. To find out more Peter Haddock caught up with Mark Black of Dynapac, onsite at the Midland Plant Training & Testing facility in Brownhills, West Midlands.

With specialist sensors adjusting weights to match the frequency of material it is compacting, the Seismic roller automatically optimises compaction levels. This, in turn, helps the operator to know they have completed the right amount of passes, whilst also helping the environment by reducing fuel burn.

Seismic also comes with the option to use the new Dyn@Lyzer continuous compaction control system, which provides real-time feedback to the operator, through a ruggedised tablet that is mounted in the cab. It also collects data for project managers to use in connected site 'as built' models. Seismic will be a perfect product for projects where high tolerance compaction levels need to be met, such as HS2 and Highways England.
