EDGE Innovate launches its VS750i high capacity twin shaft shredder powered by a Caterpillar engine

EDGE Innovate launched its new VS750i high capacity, twin shaft, primary shredder, powered by a C18, 563 kW Caterpillar Inc. engine at Hillhead - International quarrying, construction + recycling show.

Peter Haddock caught up with his good friend and product expert Tom Connolly to find out more about the product and its key features:

Tom: “We have designed the new machine with a Cat engine, which, due to its power rating, doesn’t need any DEF or AdBlue, making it even easier to maintain for our customers.

“It is designed with twin 2.5m long shredder shafts made from solid steel an open cutting table and a hydraulic hopper, all of which support the shredding of high volumes of organic waste."

“The big advantage of this range refers to the i in the VS750i model name as this refers to the independent drive system on each one of the gearboxes."

“So the machine has a twin shaft, two pumps two gearboxes all driving on their own to deliver a throughput of 80-100 tonnes per hour. All optimised through our partnership with the Caterpillar engine team.”
