Eliminating Fuel Contamination with FuelActive Founder and Chief Engineer Mike James

Peter Haddock is on a mission with this series of videos with FuelActive to talk about the "Elimination of Contamination" and the huge costs associated with it. In this first episode, he talks to founder and chief engineer, Mike James.

They discuss the issue of contaminated fuel and the impact it can have on various construction plant and equipment onsite. Peter also discovers the existence of the dreaded 'Diesel Bug' which others relate to as algae, and how it thrives in a fuel tank, if not treated.

And, of course, they discuss other contaminants in fuel, investigating water and the impact of condensation. Mike explains it all and even shows us a test tank setup, which really brings the impact of contamination into perspective.

For our second episode in the series, we will be talking to CEO Nick Massey, donning a lab coat with our watering can and visiting Peter Beach of Genquip Groundhog to discover how it is tackling the issue 'Head On' in its welfare units. This subject will also be covered in our new Think Tank new series that is coming soon to our channels, so look out for both.
