Exploring Digbits Series Episode 6 Designing new Scandinavian style buckets and attachments

In our latest episode, Peter Haddock continues his journey around bucket, attachment and spare parts specialist, Digbits. This time he meets up with Design and Technical specialist, Richard Beard, to talk about its new Scandinavian style buckets, designed in collaboration with Dave Stone Excavator Services.

Richard explains how the team has designed and fabricated the new range to support owner Dave Stone as he invests in a whole new setup with a Takeuchi TB370 excavator and NOX tiltrotator. We also learn how the team has incorporated specialist Hardox steel into the design, so that the buckets will be both lighter, stronger and more resistant to abrasion.

The new bucket design even incorporates Cat GET which Digbits also supplies to customers. It is a great story of collaboration and shows how important it is to talk to end-users when you are designing new and bespoke products.
