Peter Haddock joined David Munro from GAP Group and Peter Beach from Groundhog inside a brand new Fusion Pulse welfare unit, specially designed as part of a major new partnership.
Commenting on the partnership David said “This is the start of a long term journey between both companies to provide our customers with the most sustainable welfare unit available.”
The first of these units is already heading straight from Plantworx to a prestigious project with one of GAP’s major customers, showing just how strong demand is.
Sustainability was the driving force in this collaboration, but as Groundhog’s Peter explained to me it had to be more than just a buzzword:
Peter: “Everyone uses the word sustainability, but it also has to be practical.
In this unit solar constantly trickle charges the onboard battery, reducing generator use, fuel consumption and emissions.”
David added:
“It’s not just about carbon commitments, it’s about giving site workers the facilities they need to do their jobs.
From microwaves to office space and pinboards, this model delivers on both sustainability and practicality.” Additional features include:

“We manufacture our units in the UK and have a dedicated refurb and support team.
“We are also rolling out an extensive training programme for depot staff and operatives, to ensure they know everything about the units.
“This will help them ensure they stay in peak condition throughout their hire life.”
Gap will be rolling out both the 3.6m single axle GP360 Fusion Pulse and the 6.6m twin axle GPO660 with twin toilet facilities.
