How has Leica Geosystems added 3D collision avoidance from Xwatch to its MC1 3D Machine Control

Peter Haddock caught up with technology specialist Eurig Price at the recent launch event with Flannery Plant Hire to find out more. 

Eurig: “The new integration with Xwatch allows users to create or import 3D avoidance zones above and below the surface area directly into our MC1 machine control software.

“This means operators can have a full 3D site model with them on our in-cab tablet, complete with 3D exclusion zones for above and below the ground. 

“There is no need for an additional screen in the cab. And if an exclusion zone needs to be added, it’s the same as uploading a revised 3D machine control model through the GPS network using our cloud-enabled Leica ConX solution.  

“This makes it so much easier for new and existing users to take advantage of adding an integrated safety solution to a machine, as the team at Flannery Plant Hire has proven.”
