Intermat Paris event what visitors can expect on 24th 27th April 2024

From indoor electric machine demonstrations to a new show TV channel and industry experts sharing their knowledge. There will be a lot going on at INTERMAT Paris from 24th - 27th April at Paris Nord Villepinte.

To find out more, Peter Haddock spoke to show director Christophe Lecarpentier at its pre-show press conference, where the team had just announced the shortlist for its Innovation Awards.

Christophe: “Across the globe, delivering more sustainable construction and reducing carbon has become critical to our future, with businesses and individuals now needing to understand how to decarbonise their projects.

“This is why we have transformed the show to help visitors learn how new equipment and solutions can help them meet their goals. And for the first time, we have introduced indoor equipment demonstration arenas.

“New product launches will also play a key part in the event, including technologies focused on removing emissions and improving the environment.

“To support the visitor learning experience, we are also bringing together industry experts for talks and discussion panels to share knowledge with visitors who will be able to attend live or catch up via our Intermat TV channel.

“This is all about visitors getting the right information that helps them understand what is needed to transition from diesel to alternative low carbon fuels, and the skills and infrastructure required to support electrification and the introduction of Hydrogen.

“The winners of our Innovation Awards, which were shortlisted at our press event, will also be announced, and they reflect how our industry is changing and the new emerging technologies.”

This year, Intermat Paris will have a new layout based around five clusters, which include New Technologies & Energies, Earthworks Demolition & Transport, Roads, materials & foundation industries, Lifting and handling and Building Civil Engineering & Concrete Industry.
