At #hxgnliveglobal in Las Vegas recently, Peter Haddock met with Dogan Kahveci CEO of Zibber Real Estate. His business owns over 60 BLK2GO handheld reality capture devices from Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon. A single team member in a matter of minutes can use the device to capture accurate dimensions of properties for client reports whilst also creating a 3D model very quickly to help sell properties. In the Netherlands, it is a legal requirement of the realtor to get an accurate measurement of a property. If this is found to be wrong a business can be sued. And with prices per square metre in Amsterdam, in particular, being very high this could result in serious legal fees. With the BLK2GO being so accurate Dogan and his team are disrupting the market and winning more clients. This just shows how people can now use reality capture technologies without the need for extensive training to change the way a market operates for the benefit of clients and homeowners.
