Peter Haddock talks to industry leader Neil Williams of Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon, about how the business is working with suppliers on a global and local scale to improve safety, productivity and efficiency, whilst supporting operators in the cab. The latest collaboration with Xwatch Safety Solutions is a great example of this, with both businesses working together in partnership to improve safety. 

This involves the integration of the Xwatch XW series safety and slew and height restriction solution directly into its 'in-cab' tablet, which forms a key part of the Leica Geosystems MC1 3D machine control ecosystem.

A key part of this sees the Leica iCON PA80 wearable personal alert solution integrated into the Xwatch controller, connecting operatives onsite with the machine and its operator.
