Super digger fan Anthony at the Hitachi Dig Day

Super Digger Fan Anthony gets to operate a Hitachi Construction Machinery (UK) excavator at the Connected Technology Dig Day this weekend. And he got to test out the machine with an Engcon UK Ltd tiltrotator, Xwatch Safety Solutions safety system and Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon 3D machine control. 

 was great for Peter to meet Anthony and his mum Elaine and even better to see how the team on the day could make it super special for him to operate the machine. Anthony certainly did a better job than Peter could and his mum Elaine was delighted saying: "It's a really good opportunity for him to try something, Anthony has a learning disability but he adores diggers and he just gets them.

 Being able to have a go is awesome." And as a superfan, Anthony explained to Peter: "The reason why I thought I would give it a try and a go as well is it made me happy." And that says it all. Well done Anthony.
