“LANDCROS One is not just a machine, it’s the future of our customer journey.”
At Bauma, Peter Haddock had the privilege to sit on the tracks with Francesco Quaranta, CEO of Hitachi Construction Equipment Europe, to explore its groundbreaking LANDCROS One, which represents its new vision to redefine what construction machinery can be.
Francesco: “This machine takes the heritage of Hitachi, our customers know and trust, and brings it into the digital world. It’s about creating an entirely new environment for operators, whilst enabling new ways of working. “With advances in site connectivity, you will also be able to manage this machine remotely from a connected operator station anywhere in the world.
We have already embedded AI assistance and companion technologies like drone supported surveying into its design.
“When it comes to powering LANDCROS One, the future won’t be about one energy solution prevailing. It will be about using the right power source for the right application. “This could be diesel, battery, hydrogen or another alternative fuel. So LANDCROS One will be built to adapt to that future.”
“And with the speed of technological advancements now faster than the speed of redesigning moving metal, we have placed openness and collaboration at the heart of our strategy by encouraging businesses to work with us on our journey.”
