Why Is This Excavator BRIGHT PINK and What Makes It Special

LiuGong Europe brings a special excavator to bauma to launch its factory fit Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon 3D machine control partnership.

Peter Haddock caught up with James Higgs on the stand, who explained the importance of machine control to its growing range of diesel and electric machines, whilst introducing the very pink machine.

James: “You couldn’t miss our LiuGong 909ECR at the show with its special Bauhinia blossom decal from Brandfixx, which is a tribute to our hometown of Liuzhou, where the blossoms are in full bloom this time of year. 

“The machine itself has a two-piece boom, longer undercarriage, additional counterweight for stability, and 30% more hydraulic flow, which allows it to perform in demanding applications."  

“When fitted with tilt rotators and Leica Geosystems 3D machine control from the factory, it can be both accurate and productive."
