How does 3D Collision Avoidance from Xwatch work in tandem with Leica Geosystems 3D machine control
Peter Haddock went to The School to meet up with Dan Leaney and our very own dummy to find out more.
He also let slip that they will be launching a new version at Bauma…
Dan: “Enhancing safety on site is more important than anything else, as we all want people to be able to do their jobs and go home safe at the end of the day.
“But as we know, the worksite can be a dangerous place, and operators have so much to think about. “So this is why we designed our 3D Collision Avoidance as an active solution that works in real-time using avoidance zones mapped out, in this case, into the Leica Geosystems MC1 system.
“This means that wherever an operator is working on a site near rail lines, highways, or pedestrian crossings, they can focus on their task with confidence, knowing that risks such as overhead cables, underground utilities, and restricted zones are accounted for. “And more advancements are on the horizon as we will be launching a new Mark 2 version at Bauma in just a few weeks.”
