How do you build a road? Episode 5 ‘The Long Wall’ at the A417.

In this episode, Peter Haddock is joined by Mark Sabatto of Kier Transportation at a key area on the £460m National Highways funded project.

Standing next to a section of its 7km new dry stone wall near the location of one of the project's key structures, the Gloucester Way bridge crossing.

Mark said: “Both the bridge and our new dry stone wall are critical to the delivery of this project. The wall itself will provide safety and a habitat for local wildlife. 

“The bridge will span 38 metres with a 3 metre wide footpath. It will also feature integrated planted sections and designated wildlife crossings to support the natural ecosystem.”

 “This will provide a key link for the public to access popular walking routes.”
