Pavilion Construction on investing in 3D Machine Control

“We can now capture survey data and create machine-ready 3D models that allow drivers to follow accurate designs using Leica Geosystems solutions.

“And not only that, I can make model adjustments remotely, and they can be uploaded back to the machines in minutes.”

These were the words of Lee Butler, engineering surveyor for Pavilion Construction when Peter Haddock met him on a site visit with Lee Knowles of dealer One Point Survey.

Lee Butler added: “Before we started using the Leica ConX cloud solution, I would have to travel across different sites to make adjustments, but now it’s all done over the GPS network in real-time, saving me hours of travel.”

Lee Butler uses a TS16 total station, which he has added to with the latest Leica GS18T rover.

This has a tilting capability, making it faster and easier to measure points onsite as it eliminates the use of the traditional bubble.
