Plantforce focuses on safe sites fuel savings and productivity

Plantforce open day showcases its approach to delivering safe sites, fuel savings and productivity at its new Wigan depot. 

Peter Haddock walks around the displays showcasing some of its range of supply chain partners including:

- A range of Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. excavators. 

- 3D machine control and surveying solutions from Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon.

- 3D collision avoidance from Xwatch Safety Solutions part of Hexagon.

- Human Form Recognition and safety solutions from Spillard Safety Systems Ltd, Safety Shield Global and FTC Safety Solutions.

- Attachments including tiltrotators from Steelwrist, a crushing bucket from MB Crusher and even a Vacex excavator attachment from tinbin TC2.

- PLINX and its MachineSense smart sensor technology

ULEMCo Ltd also showcased its hydrogen capabilities, and the Plantforce team revealed it will be converting a Rokbak ADT to run on a Hydrogen Diesel fuel mix.

The conversion is part of the HyConstruct project, which also includes the BRE, BAM UK & Ireland and GeoPura.
