Behind the scenes with 3D machine control dealer Aska Attachments

Peter Haddock visited the Head Office in Huddersfield and a Komatsu D61PX at a customer site with Ian McMillan to learn how the business is supporting customers since it became a dealer in 2025.

Ian: “Adding 3D machine control to our attachment offering is a natural fit for our customers. Everyone wants to be as efficient as possible, and combining the right attachments with precise digging capabilities for 3D models makes for a more productive machine. 

“Our Leica Geosystems trained engineers can retrofit machine control to a full range of equipment, including excavators and dozers. This includes the calibration of attachments.

“At this stage, customers can choose to hire or buy a cab kit depending on the work they are doing. We are also supporting customers with the 3D model design, which can be fed into a machine remotely using Leica ConX. This reduces the need for engineers to visit sites and ensures that everyone uses the right models.

“The demand for machine control and onsite support to help customers transition continues to grow, and the support from Leica Geosystems with training for our sales team, hire desk, and engineers has been brilliant.”
