Caterpillar Remote Control Station for Construction

Hear what Caterpillar technology specialist, Jason Ramshaw had to say about the new Cat Remote Control Station, when he spoke to Peter Haddock at  CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020.

Aimed at supporting construction projects, this technology will be ideal for 24/7 working on projects like High Speed Two and Highways England sites. It will allow for greater diversity and inclusion, bringing back injured or disabled operators. It will reduce idle times, operator fatigue and fuel usage whilst allowing one operator to control multiple machines in a safe environment, without going to the site at all.

This is a huge innovation for the plant sector and one which will undoubtedly support the transition from semi to full autonomy in the future especially if Caterpillar can introduce its full lineup to the system and even integrate it with other OEM's equipment.
