DENS Off Grid Powerhub supports LiuGong BEV charging options

“It’s all about continuing to work without long hours of charging. It’s nonsense to think electric machines can’t keep up. We’re proving otherwise.” says Max Aerts of Netherlands based battery charging specialist DENS.

Peter Haddock recently caught up with Max at ‘The BEV Experience’ with LiuGong Europe at its HQ in Poland, where it was showcasing its battery range. This includes the 856HE E Max wheel loader, which runs on a 423kWh battery at an operating weight of 21,000 kg.

Standing next to the machine, Max explained how its Powerhub can charge the wheel loader from zero to 100% in around an hour and a half, with top up charges taking much less time. The Powerhub also uses the same high density lithium iron phosphate battery cells used by LiuGong in its electric range.

Max: “We are already providing multiple heavy-duty off-grid charging solutions across the world, with our largest Powerhub having 2.3 megawatt hours of energy capacity. This is the equivalent of what an average household uses in an entire year. This allows the 856HE to run for up to two weeks off-grid, on a single Powerhub charge.”

“Of course, for large scale power demands, multiple Powerhubs can be delivered to the site and can even be craned into underground projects. The system can also link to solar panels and be trickle charged overnight if standard mains power is available.”

In this video, Peter also reveals how LiuGong will soon be increasing the charging speed of its range.

And with the DENS team partnership -  “We’re here to power the big shifts,” Max concluded.
