Introducing the Ammann electric roller

Ammann Electric Roller with integrated Smart Charger joins the Molson Group electric offering.

At the Molson Group open day, Peter Haddock met with Ammann Group  product expert Josephine Adams to learn more.

Jo: "Our new 𝘦ARX 26-2 roller is powered by an all electric drive which makes it very quiet compared to the same diesel equivalent.

"The machine offers the same performance and can be charged with our portable, fast charger from zero to full in around 3 hours.

"We have also added a standard Type 2 charger to the machine like you would find on an electric car, making it easy to charge, particularly on sites using other electric vehicles.

"And with more construction sites setting up this charging infrastructure, you can charge this roller and a car side by side."

Peter commented: "Like other electric vehicles, we have also added regenerative features, so the roller will put energy back into the battery when braking.

"When it comes to general operation, the 𝘦ARX 26-2 can put in a full shift, and of course, there is no idling, so it won't use any battery power when stationary."

Peter added: "The 𝘦ARX 26-2 comes with a Lithium Iron Polymer battery, which has a 24,000 hour battery life. It can also be used indoors and equally in areas where noise pollution is an issue, making it a popular choice."
