Lynch opens up accredited 3D Machine Control training to the wider industry

To learn more, Peter Haddock met with National Training Manager Gez Bonner at its Brampton training facility, where the training team has recently been through its own trainer the trainer accreditation process, supported by Eurig Price of Leica Geosystems.

Gez: "GPS is not the future, it's now, and it's what customers want to get the job done right the first time and as safely as possible. So operator training is really important, and having great trainers is a key part of its delivery. "For example, our trainers now have diplomas to recognise their expertise and have been face to face training our staff on 3D machine control for many years.

"Having great trainers is part of why we have recently become an NOCN approved GPS enhanced training centre, as we wanted to open up our facility to the wider industry. "This will mean any operator who completes our training will be able to have their skills formally recognised as a certification on their card, wherever it's scanned in the future."

"We have also secured funding from the CITB, which is great news, and having delivered eco operator training for a number of years now, and we know how impactful it can be on the job site and the environment when you invest in your operators.

Peter added: "Having spoken to many operators using 3D machine control, it's clear how impactful the technology can be when individuals are supported with quality training. So it's great to see an industry leader like Lynch opening up its training to the wider industry."
