Volvo Construction Equipments electric car recovery solution at the Nuburgring

Electric recovery as Volvo Construction Equipment design new solution with partner engcon to support the CE Dealer Team at the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Peter Haddock speaks to Arvid Rinaldo at the World Famous Nürburgring as we see the solution in action.

It combines an engcon tiltrotator with the Volvo EWR170E wheeled excavator and a specially designed carrier.Together this enables the machine operator, in this case, Adam Lindberg, to quickly travel to a breakdown or accident, picking up the car and taking it off the track to a safe place.

 This removes people from the process, is much quicker and safer, and it allows the race to continue faster. It's a great way of showing how construction equipment can be used in such a wide variety of applications.
