Kubota technology bundle offers equipment data location and an app

Discovering the benefits of the Kubota UK technology bundle, which includes advanced machine data, a GPS machine locator and an app to support equipment owners and end users.

Free for four years on any new machine purchase, to find out more about how the 'myKubota' app works, Peter Haddock spoke to expert Colin Frost at its recent press conference:

Colin: "We are well known in the industry for our equipment reliability and performance, so adding the data and information people need to maintain high uptime is really important. Now, customers can get information straight from the machine no matter where they are.

"So from a security perspective, they can locate the machine at any time and create a geofence around it, alerting them if it's moved.

"In addition, they can monitor a range of machine data like the fuel burn, utilisation and hours as well as key components like the DPF.

"And all this information can be allocated to another user if, for example, someone goes on holiday.

"For fleet owners, we have also created the APIs they need to read this data on their fleet management software solution.

"When it comes to the app, we have looked at making information accessible to owners and operators that will help them look after and access guidance on how to operate and look after an individual machine. Think of it as a digital operator's manual.

"But unlike a paper version, it includes access to video tutorials on key operator features and daily checks, which have proven to be very popular.

"A dealer locator and key support contact details are also included, and to assist new users, we have put a QR code in each machine to make it easy to find the app."

Peter added: “Personally, I have seen just how important data is for businesses, particularly for mixed fleet owners who use systems like MachineMax to monitor fuel burn and utilisation etc. So, it's great to hear Kubota has set up the APIs needed to share this information.”

They include the RT210-2e and RT220-2e battery powered wheel loaders and the Stage V KX085-5 eight tonne excavator.
