LiuGong Europe announces BEV roadmap

LiuGong Europe announces roadmap for huge UK and Europe BEV rollout with 10 new electric machines launching in 2026 and trials by Holcim UK delivering a breakthrough opportunity for a large fleet deal for 20 electric wheel loaders.

With the likes of Flannery Plant Hire already running machines and big players in Europe like the Rental Group expanding their fleet, the BEV journey continues at a pace.

Speaking about its operator feedback at a recent event Paul Mitchinson of Holcim UK said:

“We put the big 870HE wheel loader into one of our Southwest quarries, Callow, where the operators fully embraced the new technology. Now they don’t want to go back into the diesel area.”

Adding her support to the BEV roadmap Viki Bell CEO of Construction Equipment Association (CEA) said: "“The range that LiuGong has is phenomenal, and the BEV capability I’ve seen today has pleasantly surprised me.“

"The partners LiuGong have brought together to put the whole package together are going to be key to unlocking the market. UK customers will be encouraged by hearing from those already using the machines, as many operators now prefer them.”

These partners include new dealers Dragon Plant Sales Ltd (Wales) and Lloyd Ltd who are now covering North West England and Scotland.

Harry Mellor also added:  "Our electric machines have proven themselves on real job sites, with our highest-hour unit now exceeding 20,000 hours, a clear benchmark for long-term durability.

"If customers have any questions, we’re here to answer them. With over 10,500 BEVs in operation globally, we’ve got the data and experience to back it up.”
