See the Tesmec Rock Hawg in action onsite with Breedon Aggregates

Peter Haddock talks to Tom Gammond of Trenching and Rock Excavation Specialists A J Gammond Ltd, who is one of the operators of its impressive Tesmec Rock Hawg.  He explains how the machine works to grind out hard rock creating, in this case, aggregate for Breedon Group plc. This specialist machine also has its own 3D machine control setup to ensure the operator can optimise the depth and bench levels in the quarry.

This creates the most efficient way of producing the right grade of aggregate needed for the minimum secondary processing for Breedon Products.  Of course, this process creates a lot of dust, so Tom also explains how it works with the remote-controlled Grydale Europe Ltd dust collector, which removes dust from the process.

This keeps the local village dust free whilst allowing Breedon to extract more valuable aggregate, as the bench location means that blasting is impossible.
