See the worlds first Hydrogen Burner from Ammann Group

Ammann Group invites Peter Haddock to see the world’s first Hydrogen Burner for new and existing asphalt plants as part of our mini-series highlighting its new green solutions.  

Peter met with expert Matteo Tesini at the Ammann Group manufacturing facility outside Verona to learn more. The hydrogen burner is available on both new asphalt plants and as a retrofit to Ammann plants and other OEMs. 

Matteo: “Operating purely on hydrogen, our new burner is paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future for our customers, who are looking for alternative fuelled solutions to reduce CO2 emissions significantly. 

With this burner, there are no carbon emissions, just water. The hydrogen can be stored onsite and injected directly into the burner with our control system able to vary the flame intensity. 

“We have also added a silencer to reduce noise pollution. And the new burner joins our existing range, which includes our wood dust burner.”

Peter added: “This is yet another example of how Ammann Group is developing greener solutions, including emissions treatment systems for the reduction of Blue Smoke and VOC, as well as a new dryer.”
