What next for the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors CICES

Peter Haddock speaks to its new CEO, Simon Hamlyn, at the recent GEO Business and Digital Construction Week events about his journey, the future direction of the institution and the important role it plays in the sector.

Having already spent seven months as CEO, Simon and his marketing team are busy creating and curating content for a Knowledge Hub for members, and he is also passionate about bringing more people into the sector.

Simon: “There is a lot of work to do in supporting our members and making our sector more attractive, particularly to young people. So we need to work hard with schools and colleges to talk about all the opportunities and amazing technology we are using.
