Combining technologies with AGTEK software 3D machine control and drones

“Using surveying equipment, drones, and AGTEK, we can now seamlessly create and load models into our Leica Geosystems 3D machine controlled excavators.

“This enables our operators to work more efficiently on-site and monitor their progress.”

That’s the message from Seamus Foley of Chartway Civil Engineering when Peter Haddock met him recently at the UK's first AGTEK community user group held at the Leica Geosystems ‘The School'.

Seamus: We started using AGTEK for field calculations from independent contractors. We’ve since expanded to internal operations, incorporating machine control models through Leica Geosystems and utilising drones for progress monitoring.

“These technologies, along with Hexagon Reveal software, have streamlined our processes, significantly reducing the time spent on traditional tasks like point cloud cleanups.

“As we continue to expand our use of AGTEK, we’re looking forward to exploring its potential in estimating and other areas of our operations.”
